[My big feet exposed LOL...(That's a 9 in American size btw lool Not UK..or i'd be a GIANT!)

It's freezing as f*uck in Ohio right now and my DM's aren't keeping my feet warm enough so I had to get a new pair of UGG's. I adore UGG boots, but I know a lot of people who think they're a fashion crime! Meh, couldn't care less.

Also, something else has come to my attention. Since I've been in America...

I've stopped dressing like I normally do in the day and instead I've opted for a comfortable 'PINK' everything. I've been living out of the V.S store (which I'm in love with btw)....I'm planning on going back with a whole suitcase full lol. I just love the girlie, colourful matching trackies. I wish we had Victoria's Secret in London *tear*

Don't worry dolls, this won't be something permanent, Well I hope not..I think it's the weather mixed with the whole holiday vibe, I'm just on another level lazy tip these days lol.

One of the main reasons I flew out to America was because one of my dearest cousins was getting married! Last night was the wedding and it was so so so amazing! Everybody looked stunning and we just had a fricken blast! I was one of the bridesmaids of course lol, which is quite stressful in comparison to when I was younger and all I did was throw a few petals on the floor lol. Nevertheless, we had the bestest time ever! :D

I can't wait to see the professional photographs that were taken but I did take a few snaps on my phone...

UK vs. US!

So I am finally in the United States of America! Whooop whoop! :D After hours and hours of travelling from London to Chicago (and so on...) I got to meet my lovely family and I know it's just day 1 but damn, I'm having the time of my life!!

I worry myself sometimes because I procrastinate so damn much! Like, who starts an assignment a day before it is due? Ah, I need to shake this bad habit! On a good note, the results for my previous assignments from last semester are good! :)

Anyways, the concert was friggin' incredible! Calvin Harris was the opening act and to be honest after like 15 minutes, it was a total bore and I couldn't wait for him to get off. For those that don't know who he is, he's a DJ, so he was literally on stage spinning tunes. And that's not what I came to see or listen to! Lol.

Eventually Riri made her way on stage and she brought her A game! WOW! It was just incredible! I had the best time ever. I got to share that moment with my best friend which was even better. We laughed, danced and screamed on the top of our lungs all night!!

Rihanna performed a bunch of her old songs as well as the 'LOUD' album. The last time I saw her live was when I was like 17, and back then I thought she did a great job but looking back now, that was NOTHING in comparison to this! Her voice sounded really good and she was full of energy which was nice to watch...

Last thing I have to say is, Riri...I think if you're gonna be touching yourself in that manner or even drag on a girl from the audience so you can hump her, maybe an age restriction would be appropriate? Lol! That shit was funny but I saw some kids in the audience like o____O!

Drake is sort of like a roller coaster ride with me. I like him, then I don't, and right now I ~~really~~ like him again. His music was a bit repetitive for my liking at one point and after that Tim Westwood appearance he got so arrogant and I just found it off putting.
When Take Care was released, I joked that I was only getting the album for research but after the first listen, I found myself going on my iTunes and playing the album over and over again. You can't deny good music, and Drizzy brought it!

Shot for me, Headlines, Crew Love ft The Weeknd, Take Care ft Rihanna, The Real Her ft Andre 3000 & Lil Wayne and Doing It Wrong ft Stevie Wonder are my favourites. (See how I just pretty much mentioned the entire album!) Haha!! I love the Nicki Minaj feature too but that song leaked a while back so I just skipped past it!

I actually really like it when Drake sings, I think I like it more than when he raps. I love the honesty in his lyrics and that he always drops a few 'feel good' lines for the ladies.

Right, that's enough about him...I really hope my friends don't read this! I'm always taking the piss out of him.

Whether I’m rushing through the hectic University halls, listening to music on the Jubilee line or picking up a sandwich from Gregg’s, there is one question that women ask, ‘what make-up do you use?’ Why do they ask? Because we women all want in on the secret to finding the perfect make-up.

Being a woman of colour, there aren't that many brands that hit darker colours on the nail. A couple of weeks ago in Boots, while chatting to one of the ladies that work at ‘no7’, she told me that...
a large majority of beauty companies are going to eliminate their darker shades as it has become a ‘niche market.’ I felt appalled by this news but instantly I thought of my true appreciation for ‘MAC’ who provide for every race, colour and skin texture and to an excellent standard.

For me, the great thing about MAC cosmetics is the ability they have to make you feel like you are really worth it. I may be having a horrible day but as soon as I walk into one of their branches and try a few of their products, I feel like everything is that bit brighter. As if the products aren’t amazing enough, the customer service ensures I walk out of the store with a smile on my face- I have been let in on the secret of beautiful make-up.

Being a student, sleepless nights and deadlines falling one on top of each other become the norm. MAC is my saviour! It is the ultimate all year around brand. Studio fix foundation provides great coverage to use on a daily basis without damaging my skin and without that common heavy feel present in a lot of foundations. It evens out your skin tone to perfection. Most importantly, this babe feels great!

So, when did I first fall in love with MAC? At 15, an age where nothing seems certain and as young women, we are trying (extremely hard) to discover who we really are; make-up feels like the next step. Growing up with two generations of women in my family who all love and adore MAC cosmetics, it only seemed right to continue this make-up tradition. If my mum loved it, surely I would too. Five years have passed and I am still a fanatic! In the current economical climax, MAC is perfect- inexpensive, full of moisture, colours that are spot on and the icing on the already delicious cake- sophisticated chic containers.

I have never ventured to another brand. MAC has provided me with faultless products. Every woman, regardless of age, wants to look and feel the best they possibly can. I came across Elle Magazine's latest competition on the weekend, with the chance of winning a one year paid internship with the leading fashion mag! So like any budding journalist, I instantly grabbed my laptop and started writing the required 500 word essay. After submitting it I waited, and waited.....and waited. Strangely my entry wasn't on the website where it was supposed to be. Everyone else's but mine. After refreshing the homepage, I sadly gave up as there was only one day left of the competition and realistically there was no chance of me getting loads of votes to actually get ahead, regardless of how good my essay was.

Well, that's what I thought...until I randomly decided to check the site before I went to bed last night, approximately around 10pm. And there it was! The shock of my life...
my essay had been submitted but I only had 2 hours to get as many votes as possible as the deadline was at midnight! With the support of my lovely family and friends, I ended up getting 30, which was more than I expected to get in that short period of time. Also in comparison to people who had their essays up for weeks, the person with the most votes had 90, and the rest from 40-30.

I was thinking to myself, imagine how much I could have got if Elle had posted my entry sooner! What a bummer! :(

Anyways, it is what it is! Thank you to everyone who voted for me! I really hope I get shortlisted through to the second round insha'Allah.

I've always been a fan of Gwen Stefani whilst growing up. Even until this day, I can listen to some of her songs and feel moved (4am). These are def my favourite slow-ish songs from her.
Unlike other people I like having music playing whilst I'm writing my essays. But not any type of music, it would have to be something like this that isn't too up beat! Or just instrumentals! They're great, because you can just do your thing without being distracted by the lyrics of the song.

If you've read the opening note, it's incredible that without all the money and amazing camera crew/editors Cole was able to produce his best video yet but with all the big productions in videos like 'Work Out' it's just blah! Having said that, J Cole's music never disappoints! He's incredible and def my favourite rapper since Kanye West came out.

I'm so excited to have booked my ticket to America this Winter holiday! I'll be over seas from 6th Dec - 28th January (iA) which is just amazing!! I've planned this trip quite a few times in the past and it never went according to my plan. But this time, everything has been sealed! Also my first
cousin is getting married, literally 3 days after I land which is awesome! I'm over the moon to be one of her brides maids. This will be my millionth time! (I'm not complaining coz I love it!) haha :D
BUT...in order for me to actually leave on the 6th of December, I would have had to complete all of my University work almost two weeks early! I'm really nervous about this, because as a Journalism student, I have a lot of assignments, essays and reading to do! On top of that I'm currently doing two internships so that's a lot of work! But because I am so determined to go on this holiday, I will def work extra hard. That means less of the going out and more late night library nights. =/ But I think it can be done, I just need to focus!

So after playing this over and over again the past few weeks, finally the video was released last night! This is by far Rihanna's best music video yet. Heck, it's the best video out right now, period! In fact, she should pick up an award for this!
I know the amount of drug use and violence is
not acceptable but see the bigger picture and message that is being portrayed in this. The video tells a story of two lovers, and I friggin love it!!

The Jonathan Ross Show! :)

It's another casual Thursday afternoon I'm headed to my Journalism Portfolio lecture when I get a call from my friend asking if I want to go with her on the Jonathan Ross show. *PAUSE* ... Everyone, and I literally mean 'everyone' that knows me will tell you that I watch every episode without a fail. So, when she asked me I immediately jumped with joy, and couldn't sit through my lecture without thinking about how amazing the night was going to be. And I was right, it was everything I expected and more. Cee-Lo Green put on a great performance at the end. Tulisa and Gary Barlow both looked fab! Gary looks 10x better in real life, and to be honest I didn't think it was possible to look that good! Haha. Ewan McGregor was quite a looker too! :P His interview was very entertaining. I don't want to give too much away so make sure you watch the show on Saturday night!

Cameras weren't allowed inside, and we had to switch our phones off but I did get a sneaky picture of the set when I was walking on the top floor. :P

I'm absolutely exhausted and soo ready to sleep! Hope you all have a fab Friday, and enjoy the beautiful weather in London! (I know it's quite surreal for it to be this hot in Sept/October!) lol

My Weekend.

I'm so pleased with my University timetable this semester. I have a four day weekend, how amazing is that? It's still early days so I don't have a ton of assignments just yet so I can still enjoy myself.
I took a trip down to the new...
Westfield shopping centre in Stratford, London. It's the biggest shopping 'mall' in Europe with a huge Casino, cinema and a BIG food court. The shops are amazing, it's literally got every shop you can think of under one roof. I was there for like 2/3hours and I didn't even get half way through the centre. That's how big it is!!!! If you're in London, you MUST check it out iA.
I'm having a lazy Saturday as I had way to much fun the past few days. The highlight of the weekend would have to be the Hip Hop Karaoke I went to. It was so funny! I rate anyone who went up infront of a that scary crowd of people. I was so tempted to get up and do Common - 'The Light' lol, But I chickened out!
The music was A-MAZING. Everyone knows how much I love hip hop, it's the only type of music I can really get down with. But I def love other genres too. Personally, as long as the music and my company is good, I'll have an amazing time.

I'm in bed right now and I can't even sleep, I'm deeply saddened by the current news: Troy Davis, who we all know is on death row and is about to be killed in a few hours. Yes, this is the fucked up world we live in. And what makes it worse is there is no evidence, no weapon or witnesses to the alleged killing of a police officer.
To the ones in charge and Obama obviously included although he doesn't have much say in this, you have failed your own people by allowing Troy Davis to be killed.
How has Casey Anthony walked free when there is NO DOUBT she murdered her own child but yet Troy Davis is being executed for something they can't prove he did 20 years ago! And even then, he served 20 years of his life in prison. This is pure INJUSTICE! The government has always been fucked in my opinion but for them to stoop to this level makes me question two things:
1. Whether race is still an issue in the justice system..?

2. This life: everyday something crazy happens. This world is becoming more unbearable each day, things just seem to be getting worse. Or maybe I'm just getting older and realising. Either way, we all need to do as much as we possibly can to spread awareness and although the execution is only a few hours away, pray for the man wrongly being killed by the same people we're supposed to trust.

I'm headed to bed now but when I wake up, I hope Troy Davis is still alive.

Well not exactly coz I'm blonde but after looking at old pictures of myself, I'm really tempted to go back to jet black hair!

What do you think? I personally really love my blonde/gold locks but I'm getting a bit bored and after looking at pics. I think my black brought out the best in me.

I'm still thinking about it but seeing that it's pretty much the winter season. the dark hair would look hot! ....But then again so does the whole re-growth look! Arghh, I don't know. Thoughts guys?

How depressing, my summer holidays are officially OVER! Yuup, today was the last day and I spent pretty much the entire day in bed when I have the longest 'to do' list.

I'm not looking forward to waking up early and travelling every morning. The thought of it makes me feel physically sick. Ugh, I guess that's what happens when you've been of University since the end of May! :P Lol, I'm guessing it won't be too bad anyway considering I've got new exciting modules, new teachers and since it's my second year things will get tougher which I don't mind as I love a challenge.

(I say this now, watch in a few months, I'll be complaining non stop about the sleepless nights!) Haha!

Anyway, I feel like I'm rambling on now, so ...

The Adidas LFW party was friggin awesome!!! :D I keep telling Shy this, but I'm so bloody proud of her! She's doing so well for herself, I'm so happy for her and all her success so far! <3
The party was really cool, imagine...
being in the heart of central London, in a huge warehouse esque building with tall ceilings, 'All Saint' type of lighting, Shy's amazing styling projected all over the big screens, a heavy DJ set playing some of the most epic music. I couldn't even sit still! It was too much! Every song that came on I'd be like, "OMG..this is my jam!" lool! Oh and the bar was amazing, the service was great! It was a bit tricky because I don't drink alcohol so I was sipping on cranberry juice and apple the whole night, haha!
I got to talking to many interesting people and met SBTV creator Jamal Edwards who is currently all over the UK scene, if you don't know who he is, check out his google chrome advert!
It's almost 2am and I'm so exhausted right now so I'll make sure to upload all the photo's from tonight, in the morning!

I guess I should not be surprised that my beginning was his end. After all, we were just friends. Although in my world I was his girl, so in my mind I pretended to be his wife. Saying sh*t like, "there's only so many years in a woman's life". Right, so I gave him three.

Yet he had the audacity to step to me on this Donnell Jones "I don't know where I wanna be" type sh*t. It wasn't supposed to be like this. He hit me with the forehead kiss. He told me life was a journey and he was ready to explore this sh*t, and I was pissed...

I start pullin' out Tupac hits telling me to keep my head up and R.Kelly picks about when a woman's fed up. Cause I was down with him for so long that I didn't think I could get up. Till one day I got tired of sleeping on pillows my tears had wet up and realized that life goes on and no he didn't choose me and that doesn't make him right nor wrong.

And just because he was the epitome of my life that doesn't make me wrong nor right. Like I said I was his friend and not his wife. And I should've acted within that capacity. And then this breakup would've been "just one of them things". And not a f**king tragedy.

And all the time I spent mad at him I should've been mad at me. After all I was the one that gave him the key to my house, Let him hang clothes in my closet just in case we go out. Washing all his dirty clothes to make a "full load". And let him finish all the leftovers just so the food don't go old.

For the times that we raw-dogged just cause he "lost all the rubbers". And though I showed him more support than his father, brother, sister, and mother and just 'cause those same people dial my number when they're trying to stay in touch. And he received mail at my address "cause he sleeps here so much".

Got total control of the remote control to the TV, DVD, and radio And even though his name is not on my lease got sh*t in my house that is off limits to me like his side of my bed and his stash of weed. And I better not touch his shoebox, Fruit Loops, mouthwash or toothbrush. He even had his own set of towels.
But none of this obligates him to me because not once did we exchange vows. And If I knew then, what I know now, I probably would've listened, when he said it was some sh*t that he needed to get out his system. But I was too busy bitchin', jumpin' bad like I was gonna hit him. And in the back of my mind all I could fathom was how much I was gonna miss him. And just because I'm cryin' don't mean I'm the victim, it's just that I was too scared to let him go 'cause some other chick might get him.

And that was my fault, it was my decision I should've never put my heart in my mind's position. But I couldn't shake him--he was like a bad habit. And all this for a ***** that was just average, doing average ***** sh*t Like talking out the side of his neck and thinking with his d*ck.

But, I must admit he's the one I wanted to commit to. Either I wasn't living up to my potential, or I was just the average chick. But I chose to believe that I was a woman caught up in a feeling. Both physical and emotional, who was way too willing to give her all to a man. And though it may sound stupid I would do it all again. Just next time for my husband and not a ***** I call my friend.

I just watched 'Madea's Family Reunion' and loved it! Madea is so friggin' hilarious! I almost choked on my lasagne at one point lol. But I must say the domestic and rape story lines got me so emotional! Well, I actually cried when the film ended, even though it ended on a good note, I dunno why...I guess I just felt so touched by the mother-daughter story line.
Also, the soundtrack to this film by...
Chaka Khan is just AMAZING! You know sometimes we all need a bit of inspiration to keep on going, this is one of those songs that gets you by. I hope you enjoy it.

& If you haven't watched this film, make sure you do. Tyler Perry is a genius!

You guys know how much I love getting my nails done, so here's a picture of what I was rocking last week. I painted all my nails a wine red apart from my middle finger on the right hand which had a gold & black zebra print on it. I really liked that style, the colours all complimented each other perfectly!

Then I got really bored and this week I changed them again! But this time opting for something TOTALLY different than usual...

Yuup, who would have known, Wahiba would trade her pointy nails. Well to be honest I kept getting bored and these seemed perfect as they're very plain jane and go with everything! Kids these days. They want it all. That’s fine, that’s how we taught them. Dream big! Shoot for the stars!! You can do anything if you put your mind to it!!! But the reality of the matter is that dreams are nothing without hard work. Goals are zero without diligence. And everyone has a vision, but what have you done in the past 24 hours to achieve it? There’s this theory of the “millenial generation”: Gen Y, which refers to pretty much everyone reading this blog, especially us degenerates from the ’80s and ’90s. According to the brainy ones (who get paid a lot of money to compartmentalise us), we are apparently lost – the most educated but also most unemployed generation: 85% of college graduates this year are jobless. That means we have the smartest, most capable set of minds in the history of human civilisation, and we’re droning out on Black Ops slumber parties, celebrity Twitter feeds, and Music Television shows about pregnant teenagers (Team Maci). But we all know what we want, and for the most part, we even know how to get there. The gnarly part is that 99.9% of us will just never ever do it. We’ve bred a culture of visionaries who can’t see beyond their next dream. I’ve heard it all, from the motivated and inspired youth around the world who seek higher ground. They approach me at the shops, lectures and parties. Bright-eyed and enthusiastic, bubbling with passion and avarice. They’re gonna start a clothing company! Not like any other clothing company! Or they’re gonna be the next “IT” rapper, on the cover of ...

XXL in 6 months flat. At first, I was stoked – so many young kids dreaming big, following this notion that the world was theirs, that they could do anything. Do you know how many e-mails we get to our website everyday from another kid starting a t-shirt brand? How many I responded to over the years? And do you know how many people actually followed through? About as many that understand how Google+ works.
I guess I can’t blame them. It’s people like me who tell the youth that the sky’s the limit, and that inspiration and passion are enough fuel to cross the desert. We sit here and preach that all things are possible, that they too can dive into Scrooge McDuck money pits filled with best wishes and high hopes. Then these romantic wanderers go out into the virtual world and watch neighbourhood kids get plucked by record labels waving million-dollar contracts and the aforementioned teenage moms plastered on Us Weekly covers. It can happen to anybody, just like that. All you have to do is dream.
The problem with dreaming is that at some point, you have to wake up. (See: Inception) But even when some of us do, we’re still daydreaming in a haze. I was born in the ’80s and like many in my generation, we understood that there were certain universal goals in life. For some, it was big houses and fancy cars. For others, it was going on a date with Elizabeth Shue (maybe that was just me), but the main idea was to make money, take care of your loved ones, and achieve happiness. (See: Buddhism, Richard Gere)
But the millenials? Perfectly content with glory, fame, and all the nothingness that comes with it. That’s all they’re gunning for nowadays – the Instagram hearts, Tumblr reblogs, Yelp badges and Swag! Swag! Swag! Sure, they’ll take a million-dollar contract, but not to invest, fund a future business, or diversify a portfolio. It’s just a faster route to notoriety and celebrity – the reputation of being a millionaire will suffice. Most will get some modicum of glory (it’s not that hard, if you really think about it), and then what? And then it’s back to watching from the bleachers, admiring, sighing, and wishing. We’re like a buncha forlorn nerds in the lunchroom, clawing for an invite to the cool kids’ table and a second look from our schoolyard crush. When we should be studying for the exam to graduate and get onto our careers.
And that’s the key word: career. Longevity. The long haul. What’s really good with building a career, leaving a legacy, and making a substantial mark on this world? All the millenials want (and see) is point Z. They don’t want to sit through and listen to B or C, or work Saturday nights on J or K, or wake up early on Sunday for P and Q. They just want Z. And when they can’t endure the pains, struggle, and valuable life lessons that a few years of Ds and Es take, they’re onto the next one. Unfortunately, they’re missing the point. It’s not about Z, it’s never been (C’mon Z’s a crappy letter anyways, all it’s good for is Zebra and Pizza). A truly invaluable life is comprised of the journey: achieving and appreciating the entire alphabet. The hard work is the trophy.
Work hard. It’s that simple, guys. Just work hard and you’ve already one-upped the rest. It’s an unsung art, and it’s the answer. And unlike money or connections or all the other excuses people make as to why someone else has the advantage, hard work is something that everyone has access to.

Yesterday I got the opportunity to take part in a beauty shoot for 'Their Mag' which is a glossy new sister magazine in conjunction with England player Rio Ferdinand's magazine.
My old editor Cleo asked me to model my hands and nails for the nail art spread which was so much fun.
The nail artist was amazing! There were four different looks and she painted some sick designs before my eyes, talent or what!
Honestly speaking, I found it all a bit strange because
I'm usually behind the scene, running around the shoot trying to get the clothes together or I'm the one writing and doing research but this time it was all very different. Having a photographer, nail artist and a visual director all on set focusing on me was one hell of an experience. I know it was just my hands in the shots but it was definitley an experience that I loved! Oh and I was taking shots with the cutest cupcakes (pictured below)...I got to take them home afterwards!! :D lol

Oh, and let's just say I have a new found respect for hand models, that stuff isn't easy yo! LOL. I was in need of a shoulder massage after the shoot which was roughly 7hours!!! And the beauty of it is, I didn't even realise how long we were on set, time went by SO fast!!!

So since I took the site down;

1. It was my birthday, I'm officially 20!...No longer in the 'teen' bracket.
2. I completed my 30 days of fasting during Ramadan & celebrated Eid with family, so Eid Mubarak.

3. I've been working like MAD!....I've put in so much extra hours at work that I now think I'm burnt out. I'm desperately in need of a holiday but I don't think that'll happen as I go back to uni in approx 15days! :'(

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper (anger). His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper and get angry, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the little boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down.

Little boy discovered it was easier to hold his temper (anger) than to drive those nails into the fence...

Finally the day came when the little boy did not lose his temper (anger) at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the little boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper (anger). The day passed and the little boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his little boy by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence.

The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there."

I haven't been to well lately dolls, in and out of hospital. I'm starting to get better so nothing to worry about. I just watched the Apprentice UK, well done to Tom! Def my favourite. I loved Helen, she was like the perfect Miss Britain..Brains and Beauty! Lord Sugar should def consider hiring her.

Anyways I just realised I've played this song 500+ times on my NEW laptop, god knows how many times since the release of it. It's my all time favourite love song. After spending a week away from home, I got back last night and started work early this morning, and literally just got home like an hour ago! YES, I'm putting in the extra hours to save £££ and do something crazy with it. I don't mind to be honest as I'm sort of enjoying work now because my manager wants me to do the visual merchandising and wants me to style the manikins all around the shop which is WAY better than normal customer service and dealing with the fitting rooms etc. Besides, seeing that I'm not flying out anywhere anymore I might as well keep myself busy this summer! As yawl know I don't like bumming around for too long! It's rather depressing! Lol.
Anyway, my feet are killing me + I've gotta be up at 7 tomorrow to do the delivery so Ciao for now!

Awww, to top off one of the funniest nights in a long time I can truly say I am happy and share this moment with you all. I'm so happy I passed my first year of University with flying colours! It's totally motivated me to work harder next year and make sure I get them 1st grades!
